Hi! I'm Hugo, a 22-year-old french student in Software Engineering, based in Paris, France.
I'm currently studying at the french engineering school Efrei Paris to get an engineering degree in computer and software engineering.
I think I've always been interested in understanding how the world around me works. When I was really small, I would spend hours looking at my toys, disassembling and reassembling them.
It was when I discovered Legos that I started being obsessed with creating things. I remember my favorite creation was a Lego pinball machine. It would break often because of the force we applied on the flipper buttons out of excitement, but it was still really fun to play.
Then, my parents gave me my first computer, and I realized that I could do almost everything. So I did.
I learned 3d modeling to make custom animations and wallpapers, editing and special effects to create short films with my little brother, music writing and playing to release my own tracks to my friends, and of course, programming to create my own applications.
I created this website to have a place to show my projects and talk about what I love: programming and my other hobbies. Because I love working on projects and exploring new ideas, I put extra thought into designing this website. Inspired by blueprints, the design and layout are meant to reflect both the engineering mindset and the constantly evolving nature of my work. It's also a way for me to show what I can do. I had a lot of fun creating the animations and effects! And this is just the beginning, there is much more to come.
In the future, I plan to add detailed pages for many of my projects, where I'll share the ideas behind them, their architectures, behind-the-scenes stories, pictures, and the creative process that brought them to life. I've also started working on a blog, still in its early stages, where I'll share my various hobbies and topics that interest me. Who knows, I might even come up with a new software architecture and write about it there for the world to see!
To channel my creativity in the best way possible, I decided to pursue an engineering degree in Software Engineering at Efrei Paris. During my studies, I learned a great deal, worked on meaningful projects, and formed friendships with people who are now some of my closest friends.
I also had the amazing opportunity to study for one semester at the University of California, Irvine. This experience allowed me to immerse myself in American culture and lifestyle, connect with fascinating people, and gain deeper insights into myself.
It was truly unforgettable, and it's one of the reasons I'm eager to go abroad again for my end-of-study internship!
